Step-by-step: fulfilling the vow
1. Prepare jasmine garlands as vowed
Prepare the number of jasmine garlands you promised when making your vow to Luang Pho Tan Jai. If you did not specify a number, 50–100 garlands is a common starting point — more is welcome, according to your faith.
2. Travel to Wat Phra That Doi Kham
Bring your garlands to the Luang Pho Tan Jai image at Wat Phra That Doi Kham, Mae Hia, Mueang Chiang Mai. If you cannot travel, use our free proxy vow service with a live video call.
3. Light incense and a candle
Light 3 incense sticks and a candle following the customary way of paying respect, calm your mind, and recall the Triple Gem and Luang Pho Tan Jai.
4. Recite Namo three times, then the prayer
Recite Namo three times ("Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato Samma-Sambuddhassa"), then respectfully recite the prayer to Luang Pho Tan Jai.
5. Say the vow-fulfillment words
State your name, recall what you originally vowed, note that your wish has now come true, and say that you are offering the jasmine garlands to fulfill your promise.
6. Offer the jasmine garlands
